Before joining TechTarget in May 2000 as editor of SearchWin2000.com, Marilyn worked as daily newspaper reporter, a trade journal editor, a freelance writer, columnist and consultant to number of well-known technology companies and publications. For five years, from 1996 to 2001, Marilyn wrote a bimonthly column on technology for Governing, a public policy magazine that has twice been a finalist for a National Magazine Award. She holds a BA in Social Science from Ohio State University.

Before joining TechTarget, Margie Semilof was a reporter, editor and columnist at a variety of trade journals and publications, including InternetWeek, and its predecessor CommWeek, CRN and Network World, and was on the launch team at TechWeb, the online news portal. Margie has also freelanced for a variety of publications. At TechTarget’s SearchWinIT, she is news director in the Windows Media Group.

Christine Casatelli, Site Editor

Christine Casatelli has been a high-tech journalist for more than 20 years. She started her career at ComputerWorld in 1984 and worked on the launch staff of IDG’s Network World and then Federal Computer Week. During a two-year stint in Japan, where she covered technology trends, she wrote for publications such as CommunicationsWeek International and Asia Telecom Daily. She joined CMP’s TechWeb after her return to the states, where she eventually became executive editor. Casatelli has taught journalism at Northeastern University and Boston University. She is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Brendan Cournoyer, Site Editor

Brendan attended the University of Rhode Island, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. During his college tenure, Brendan spent time as an on-air radio news correspondent and print copyeditor. He also has extensive news writing experience covering a variety of topics including national politics, local town government, entertainment and other current events. Since joining SearchWinIT.com in the summer of 2005, Brendan has been responsible for several aspects of day-to-day site maintenance, such as news and homepage updates, learning guide creation and newsletter construction. He also maintains TechTarget’s Labmice Web site, and works with expert contributors to help provide IT professionals with the highest quality expert advice.

Kristin joined TechTarget’s Windows Media Group in March 2007. As Associate Editor for SearchWinIT.com, she develops site content and keeps site members up-to-date with the latest news, tips and expert advice. Kristin previously served as Assistant Editor for SearchSecurity.com where she created special learning initiatives like podcasts, technical guides and quizzes. Prior to joining TechTarget, she was an Editor at The New York Real Estate Journal in Norwell, Mass. She holds a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

David joined TechTarget in January 2006 as the assistant site editor of www.SearchWindowsSecurity.com, where his responsibilities include newsletter production and Website management. Prior to TechTarget, he worked as a copyeditor in the Creative Services department of American Power Conversion Corporation in West Kingston, Rhode Island. At APC, his duties included writing and editing direct mail and advertisements, generating a monthly e-mail newsletter aimed at business partners and home users, and general proofreading. David also has experience covering sports as a freelance journalist. In 2005, he received a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Rhode Island.
